The real-time communications module (MRCM) provides location awareness of the vehicle through GPS, and real-time communications capability using cellular technology provided by existing telecommunication providers on the 3G/GPRS network.
This device connects to the TrainFX back office server which provides the train with up to date route configuration data. The MRCM also provides the back office operator with train status and location information via the 3G train communications link.
Saloon Audio
The TrainFX Saloon Amplifiers provide PRM TSI compliant audio messaging capability throughout the train. These messages are played in tandem with the text-based journey information displayed on our PIS saloon displays. These saloon amplifiers can also allow crew to make train-wide announcements from a handset in the cab.
The system can communicate with Call for Assistance points anywhere on the train. This includes the following:
- Emergency call for aid with full talk-back
- Audio routed to active cab
- Call for aid routed to PA for conductor operation
- PRM/TSI Compliant

Your portal to efficient and insightful fleet and systems management
CENTRAL CONTROL AND MONITORING.
The centralised back-office consists of an application server provided as a managed service. It provides the capability to include operations, route planning and maintenance to interact with the system using a distributed web interface. Route databases are disseminated to vehicles via internet and 3G/4G cellular service provider.
The centralised back-office also allows the user to track the fleet in near real time. The user can then select an individual train in order to display the train status giving a snapshot of all the system configuration and status.
Everything you need to deliver a fully integrated, robust and reliable passenger information service for your new or retro-fit trains.
LATE RUNNING
TrainFX have developed the centralised back office to handle automated late running announcements.
The TrainFX back office system receives external data, allowing the system to access a late-running delay for each known unit number.
This allows the train operator to define control announcements for use as late-running announcements
This system also allows the operator to track the train in real time.
