313 Fleet:

  • 19 x 3 car sets. Started in 2010 and completed in 2012. Owned by Beacon Rail.
  • TrainFX supplied all the equipment for the Class 313 for the complete package of PIS including Passenger Counting on 15 cars and Emergency Call for Aid.
  • Operates on 110 Volt supplies using powerline communications integrating within existing train wiring. Integration to the existing door arm relays for signal input to the PIS and GSM-R PA for system audio override.

319 Fleet:

  • 59 x 4 car sets currently fitted. Owned by Porterbrook.
  • The initial program started in 2012 where the TrainFX crew communications system was fitted only offering PA and Cab to Cab functionality. The fleet was completed and installed to timescales.
  • 2014 saw a change to the fleet where Porterbrook decided to upgrade the units further and install all the remaining components of the TrainFX PIS complete system. This includes LED displays, Saloon amplifiers and speakers, Mobile Realtime Communications Module and Emergency Call for Aid. This is currently underway and half of the fleet is fully fitted.
